We are committed to making sure your saddle will fit your horse as well as it possibly can. In order to do this, we offer two types of saddle tree fittings: Custom and Standard.
Our “Standard” trees are made for a variety of different types and breeds of horses and purposes. We will match your horses conformation, body type and individual abilities to a certain style and size of saddle tree that will fit your needs as closely as possible. We use several breed specific bar patterns that we feel will fit the majority of the horses of that particular breed standard very well. For example, we have designed a special tree called the “Spanish Mustang Tree”, which as far as we know is the first of it’s kind built specifically for the Spanish Mustang/Barb type of horses. After you choose your style and preference of saddle tree, we recommend which bars we think will best fit your horse.
For our “Custom” fitted saddles, we take a mould of your horses back using one of several types of form-fitting devices to get an exact, three dimensional diagram of his back. We then send the mould to one of our top saddle tree makers, where they make a tree that will set perfectly on your horses back, thus giving us the foundation for a perfectly fitted saddle. For the “hard to fit” horses, this is an excellent option. From there, the opportunities are endless as you begin to choose from our many options for customizing your saddle. We want to know exactly how you want your saddle to look. Each saddle we build is an original, one of a kind saddle you will be proud to own and will last a life time.
